Twister Motors – the brand

Twister logo

Twister Motors was owned by Mike Walker Sr. and located at Glendora, CA. Mike Walker was racing full-scale cars before and started Twister Motors in 1985 as subsidiary of Walker Manufacturing. Beside their famous modified motors Twister also sold the Twister Mini Lathe, the first commutator lathe in RC history. This was not only the first but maybe also the best comm lathe ever made and very expensive.
Another high quality product was the Twister Cyclone, a 1/10 scale Onroad car.
One of the major results for Twister was TQ at the 1987 Offroad Worlds 2WD by their teamdriver Kris Moore. Some other being track records at the famous Lake Whippoorwille oval track and at Insane speed runs before the brushless motors were introduced.

Today Walker Manufacturing still exists, but there are no RC products sold anymore since years.
