In 1981 the second generation of the Demon Products ESC was introduced. Basically similar to the Demon 2, the new Demon 2C had an additional speed relay for bypassing the powertransistor at full throttle position.
This ESC was used very succesfully at 1/12th scale races in several countries. Largest results using the Demon 2C was winning the 1/12th European Championships 1982 by Team Associated teamdriver Jimmy Davis/Great Britain. Other major results was a 3rd place at the A-Main 1/12th World Championships 1982 Modified class and a 4th place at the Stock class again by Jimmy Davis. He also was the only driver at both A-Mains using an ESC.
