The BC210 Proflex was Tekin´s first reflex charger and introduced in 1989. Reflex charging is using a series of charge pulses with short discharge pulses in between. Usually this means a series of three charge pulses and one discharge pulse, continuing until the charge process is terminated. Beside this technology the BC210 was similar to the series of BC100 chargers what means peak detect circuitry also.
Reflex charging was used with NiCd batteries for keeping them fresh and cracking the cristalline buildup on cell plates what happens after repeated charging of cells. This is leading to reduced capacity and is known as memory effect also.
