In 1986 PK Models from the Netherlands introduced their PK Corally 1/12th car. Basically a similar design as the British Schumacher C-Car a lot of their own ideas went into construction of this car, some of them used until today. First being the use of Coral, a hardened sort of aluminium for chassis, front A-arms and rear pod. Coral also is where the brand name “Corally” is based on.
Another major detail on any Corally pancar being 1/12th or 1/10th scale was introducing their own Corally diff using a 7mm thick onepiece graphite rear axle with o-ring supported diffplates. The diff also is using plastic drive plates instead of hubs for double supported rear wheels, resulting in stiffer wheels and more true running. Also no tools were needed for changing tires using this system. The frontwheels were riding on liveaxles as the C-Car but a different solution was used with the ballbearings inside the steering blocks.
A prototype of this car made it´s appearance at the 1/12th Worlds 1986 in Las Vegas, USA with French driver Jose Rosas qualifying for the A-Main. Later a lot of National, European and World Champion titles were won with Corally cars.
